What you bring:
To excel as an Accountant at Nexabyte, you will bring not only technical expertise but also a genuine passion for supporting others within a collaborative setting. Your background should include hands-on experience managing full-cycle accounting processes—from transactional entries through to final reporting—within a busy commercial context. Familiarity with UK-specific tax rules ensures you can navigate compliance confidently while keeping stakeholders informed about any changes impacting their areas. Your comfort using both standard office tools and specialist accounting platforms allows you to work efficiently whether compiling reports or analysing large volumes of data. What truly sets you apart is your ability to connect meaningfully with colleagues: you listen attentively, communicate clearly even when discussing complex topics, and always seek consensus when resolving issues. Your methodical approach means nothing slips through the cracks—even under pressure—and your willingness to embrace new learning opportunities keeps your skills sharp. By mentoring junior staff informally or participating in group training sessions yourself, you contribute positively towards Nexabyte’s culture of shared growth.
* A recognised accountancy qualification (such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience demonstrating comprehensive understanding of core accounting principles.
* Proven track record in preparing statutory accounts, management reports, and handling end-to-end bookkeeping tasks within a commercial environment.
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation including VAT regulations, corporation tax requirements, and other relevant compliance matters affecting businesses operating in London.
* Excellent proficiency with office software packages such as Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions), Word, Outlook; experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero or similar) is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels across different departments while building trust-based relationships.
* Exceptional organisational abilities allowing you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising accuracy or deadlines.
* Demonstrated analytical thinking when interpreting complex financial data sets or identifying trends that inform business strategy.
* A supportive approach towards teamwork—willingness to share knowledge generously with others while being open to feedback yourself.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training sessions or pursuit of additional qualifications relevant to your role.
* Experience assisting with audit processes (internal or external) by preparing documentation efficiently and responding constructively to recommendations.
